I didn't know that back in 2005 that my liking for customizing my myspace page and being the yearbook editor of my high school would eventually lead to a career in web design.
​
In college I decided to ditch my original dream for design and journalism for a "safe" profession in healthcare. After entering the workforce as a healthcare professional, my first big girl job lead me directly back to web design. My boss at the time asked if I would be interested in maintaining the website for our department.
​
This changed my career. I was now doing web design and content management adding a new skill/ accolade my to resume allowing me the ability to market myself as a certified web designer. Designing and managing websites for government agencies and healthcare facilities gave me a foundation and experience that I am grateful for but didn't allow for much creativity.

Starting Brand/ed has allowed me to use my knowledge and experience in web design while having creative control to do what I love while making a difference in the world by helping women start/ rebrand their businesses.
